VP of Strategic Relations Invited to Speak

The 30th Annual Academy of LDS Dentists Conference was held in Provo, Utah, August 17-18, 2007. Dr. Gordon Christensen, a founder of the LDS Dental Meeting, invited Dr. Lou Shuman, vice president of Strategic Relations for Align Technology, to present at this year’s meeting. Dr. Shuman was one of only seven speakers selected nationwide.

Dr. Shuman presented a two-part, multimedia presentation entitled, "Invisalign – An Introduction to the Technique, the Technology, and the Future."

The sessions provided a comprehensive view on Invisalign processes, treatment and technology, including information on integrating the Invisalign system into the GP practice, clinical and diagnostic support, advances in technology, and
combination restorative strategies. As part of his presentations, Shuman was able to showcase numerous Invisalign cases to demonstrate the technique’s applicability and effectiveness.

"Having the opportunity to present at LDS by invitation of Dr. Christensen is just further acknowledgement of the credibility and acceptance of the Invisalign technique in the dental community," said Shuman. "It was exciting to see that our dental leadership considers Invisalign to be an important pillar of dentistry’s future."

With more than 500 people in attendance, the Academy’s conference was a great opportunity for dental professionals to learn from renowned educators and practitioners on a variety of healthcare and business-related topics.
