Treatment TipWhen reviewing your patient's ClinCheck set up, the Interproximal Reduction (IPR) instructions should be a part of your standard review process. During this review, you should evaluate the amount of removal required and the stages at which the removal is needed. Be sure to carefully observe the ClinCheck staging to ensure adequate access to interproximal contacts is available. Challenging areas should be noted and the case resubmitted to ClinCheck for restaging if necessary. In this particular case, the initial ClinCheck set up recommended IPR between several mandibular incisors during some of the earliest stages. With much of the crowding still present at these stages and concern adequate access would be difficult, the treating doctor made a simple modification with a request to stage the IPR for later in treatment when interproximal access was less difficult.
