About PVS Impressions
Impressions must be taken using PVS material. Any other materials, such as polyethers (Impregum) or alginates (Jeltrate), are currently
not
acceptable. These PVS impressions will later be scanned and transformed into detailed 3-D computer images that will be the basis for treatment planning as part of the Invisalign process. It is therefore crucial that this important record-taking step is done carefully.
